Perspectives

Looking at a landscape, a small part of God’s beautiful theme,

Feeling close to my very own hopes of following some big dream,

Standing alone on one small, seemingly insignificant spot,

Taking another step, things appearing the same, but yet are not.

Seeming almost silly, how quickly things grow and change,

Knowing how quickly hopes and dreams can feel out of range.

Hoping He would never leave my side or travel far from my heart,

Believing always He would guide me to the answer, to my part. 

Dreaming of a day when He would finally show me my way,

Wishing for some purpose or dream to follow even for today,

Praying He wouldn’t leave me alone when I needed Him to be near,

Reaching out again, looking up and trying again to hear.
